Thank you to everyone that attended the PwC Networking Event, ‘Building an inclusive tomorrow: Why financial well-being matters’, we were delighted to have you in attendance. With your contribution, you helped to make the night a huge success for both PwC and the Insurance Supper Club.
The panel discussion at the event was focused on financial responsibility and was based on the Chartered Insurance Institute research “Securing the financial future of the next generation”. This research highlights the financial risks and challenges faced by society and the increasing need for us to take responsibility for our financial lives. Our panelists for the evening were Kirsty Good from MoneySavingExpert.com, Sarah Churchman from PwC, Rose St Louis from Zurich, Jonathan Hollow from the Money Advice Service and Emma Hardarker-Jones from PA Consulting.
During the discussion, there was a huge focus on the role employers can play in improving their employees’ financial outcomes in the Moments that Matter. Amazing statistics and significant advice were given from our panel of speakers which left our audience well informed. It was truly a wonderful and highly stimulating event!
Here are some facts and points that we took from the discussion:
23 % of people in the workplace use a credit card or overfraft to buy food or pay bills
80% of UK adults are waking up in the middle of the night worrying about money. 1/5 of these people are doing it once a week.
Budgeting is extremely important and you need to be honest to yourself about what you include in your budget.

We would like to thank PwC as well as Jane Portas for their organization and engagement of the networking event, and needless to say, for their great hospitality!
Thank you again for your support and we look forward to seeing you at our next event!
