Jane Comerford of the Managing General Agents’ Association has signed up to do an abseil in aid of Street Child, a charity that is supporting Ebola orphans in Sierra Leone and Liberia. She has been involved with this charity for the past 3 years as a regular supporter and has been really impressed with the work that they are doing.
This is the charity that ran the first Sierra Leone Marathon which has now become an annual event. Roger Bickmore of Kiln (now Tokio Kiln ) was very involved in setting this up and Kiln sponsored the first Sierra Leone marathon in 2012.
Being incapable of running she is abseiling instead – this may not seem much but she is terrified of heights and for her is a huge personal challenge.

Jane knows that we all get asked constantly to donate to so many worthwhile causes, but if you feel like supporting her, the link to the fundraising page is: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-web/fundraiser/showFundraiserProfilePage.action?userUrl=janecomerford
