The Insurance Supper Club, New York Chapter, held its 10th year anniversary celebrations in the Financial District on Tuesday 13th March. Barbara Schonhofer, Founder, flew in from London to join colleagues, the ISC US Committee, Ambassadors and Members to celebrate a decade of female executives and directors from insurance and financial services getting together as a forceful business network.
ISC has been present in the States for 8 years and during this period it has gathered a strong following of 150 individual members and 14 sponsors to date: XL Catlin, Munich Re, Towers Watson, Swiss Re, Wharton, Capgemini, Aon, Intersect International, Zurich, Jacobson, Verisk, ISO Solutions, Travelers and Manulife.
The ISC is enjoying its first year supported by insurance companies and associations through Corporate and Associate Membership, currently from their UK entities.
This is an important moment for the exponential growth of the international nature of the Club. Our US committee members Nancy Bewley and Grace Vandecruze and our US Chair Margaret Milkint, together with our new US ambassadors and members, showed great solidarity and commitment last night in the desire to accelerate the business opportunities both internationally and cross state, created by being part of ISC. This includes business networking within the group, engaging with male peers in the market in a range of business debates with a primary aim to proactively attract, retain and promote females in the sector and up through the ranks.
We are most grateful to XL Catlin for sponsoring our event last week and look forward to the continued development of ISC USA.
