Catlin sponsors ISC to launch annual event for woman in the City.
The Insurance Supper Club (newly branded ISC) is a growing global networking group of senior female business leaders and advisors in the insurance and related financial services industries. The club has been in existence for five years and has developed into a cross-border network of more than 200 senior female executives. ISC aims to promote the interests of women in business while also providing its members with a forum to engage with colleagues on business issues.
Given the significant level of interest and participation in the ISC from both the United States and UK, the network is currently expanding to include pan European groups and is forming connections to include women leadership pioneers in Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. To support these ambitions, ISC is launching a dedicated website and a cross-company mentoring programme in June.
The group, established in 2007 by Barbara Schönhofer, Senior Vice President and CEO, executive search, of The Jacobson Group, has enjoyed continuous growing support from some of the most prominent women in the industry including its Patron Mary Francis, CBE.
To celebrate its five-year anniversary, ISC held an inaugural annual dinner on Thursday 2 May 2013 for 120 female executives and non-executive directors, as well as a number of male guests. The dinner was sponsored by Catlin Group at its City offices and was hosted by Shirine Khoury-Haq. A diverse and enlightening talk was given over dinner by Sir Andrew Cahn, a great advocate of women in business, and was followed by a lively debate.
